Party With Kenny Chesney In Men's Journal And On No Shoes Radio This Weekend

While he's not in the midst of one of his stadium-sized high-energy tours, that doesn't mean Kenny Chesney has forgotten about playing all those songs that've come to mean summer's here or having major fun with his friends, fans and like minded people. With his second stand at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas coming up July 2-3, Chesney will again broadcast his first show from the intimate concert hall real time on his No Shoes Radio network.

And to that expert party reality, the latest issue of Men's Journal features the only act to sell over a million tickets each of the past eight year in their “Do Summer Right” feature, which includes instructions on How to Throw A Righteous Backyard Bash, Toss A Ringer Every Time, Spike a Watermelon and Make A Bigger Splash. Under the heading Party Like Kenny Chesney, the 4 point plan includes the sage advice, “If you're working hard at it, you're not doing it right” and “you know, it's not about dressing up, The fewer clothes, the better.”

“They asked me,” Chesney says, “and it just seemed like pretty simple stuff: less is better, don't make it too complicated. Enjoy the moment, enjoy the people and know times like this are what memories are made of… If you can do that, laugh a little and love more, you're onto something.”

With the last pair of sold-out shows at The Joint going from the songs Chesney's known for to full-on Keg in the Closet sets - with songs from the Allman Brothers, Alabama, Tom Petty, Steve Miller, the Violent Femmes as well as a few from Be As You Are: Songs from an Old Blue Chair, these shows were once-in-a-lifetime nights of music, stories and the camaraderie the singer/songwriter's stripped down shows are known for. Knowing everyone can't get to Vegas for the July 4th weekend, Chesney is bringing everyone to the party he's throwing Friday night at www.NoShoesRadio.com.

“I pretty much shredded my voice the second night,” admits the man whose “Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D” DVD is the #1-selling music title in America. “We got up onstage in Vegas, and it was feeling and sounding so good, we didn't wanna go home - and because it's Vegas, you know, you really don't have to. We broadcast the first show because we thought people would like it - and the feedback was so great, we figured why not do it again? "

“I won't say we're the Grateful Dead or even Phish or Widespread Panic, but when we go off the set list and into the land of 'I love that song, let's play it…,” things can go all kinds of crazy places We all love music so much - and know so many songs, we can do bluegrass, we can do Van Halen and anything in between. It's what makes these shows fun for us, and I think the fans… So I figured we might as well put the show out there for the fans to listen to wherever they are one more time.”

The pre-show with Jon and Tambo starts at 10 pm EST. The show starts at 11 EST - and goes until the band can play no more. People get ready, No Shoes Radio sets sail to parts musical this Friday.

Trailer Choir To Release Their Debut CD TAILGATE On July 6th

Show Dog- Universal Music will release Trailer Choir’s debut CD, Tailgate, on July 6, 2010. The group’s first full length CD features its upcoming new single release, “Shakin’ That Tailgate,” a song they premiered on the recent CMT Music Awards. Fans of their signature song, “Rockin’ the Beer Gut,” won’t be disappointed as that song as well as “Last Man Standing” and “Off the Hillbilly Hook,” and six new tracks make up Tailgate. Produced by Toby Keith and Mark Wright, the CD continues with the feel good type of music Trailer Choir has come to be known for and what band member Butter calls “cold beer country.”

“If ever there was a band that exemplified summer parties and good times, it’s Trailer Choir,” said George Nunes, the label's GM.  “This band has their own unique sound and attitude and our goal was to capture what they do in their live shows on record.  It’s almost like capturing lightning in a bottle—Crystal, Big Vinny and Butter are all about showing their fans a good time, taking them away from everyday life, if only for an hour.  Tailgate is the kind of CD that can do that.”

Trailer Choir will spend release week doing what they do best—taking their music to the people.  On release day, they will perform their new single on the nationally syndicated morning show The Daily Buzz and then hit the road for a series of performances and in-store appearances.  First stop is an in-store at Wal-Mart in Des Moines, Iowa (1001 73rd Street, Windsor Heights, IA.) on Thursday July 8th and then the Wal-Mart in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (3601 29th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA) on Friday July 9th.  Each in-store begins at 5:00 pm local time. Trailer Choir will close out release week on Saturday July 10th with a concert at the Redwood Fair in Redwood Falls, MN.

Over the course of the next few weeks, the band will be profiled in Country Weekly and the new People Country special. Trailer Choir will be GAC’s Artist of the Month for July. They will also be featured on GAC’s On The Streets and CMT Insider and Top 20.

Jaron And The Long Road To Love On The Road To Success With Debut Album

Although final sales numbers won’t be reported until next week, this week fans flocked to iTunes to get their hands on the debut album from Jaron And The Long Road To Love, causing the album to soar to #1 on the iTunes Country Chart in less than 24 hours after its release.
Getting Dressed in the Dark released last week on Jaronwood/Universal Republic Records in association with Big Machine Records is currently in the Top 5 on iTunes Top Country Albums. The album’s first single, “Pray For You,” also just reached Gold status, selling more than 500,000 copies. “Pray For You” recently spent four consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart before moving into the top 40’s of the Hot 100 chart and the single is currently a Country charts Top 15 hit and rising. The “Pray for You” video, featuring Jamie Pressly, has become a hit on CMT and GAC and was number one on MySpace country videos for three weeks straight. Chuck Wicks Hot New Single - Hold That Thought

With the release of his debut album, Starting Now, two years ago, RCA Nashville recording artist Chuck Wicks emerged as a fresh voice, both as a vocalist and songwriter, with hits like “Stealing Cinderella” and “All I Ever Wanted” resonating with an everyman’s perspective on life and love. Now, with the first single from his upcoming sophomore album, Wicks brings a sultry new edge to “Hold That Thought,” heating up the radio and video airwaves – and the temperatures of more than a few fans – with its sexy portrayal of the much-anticipated reunion of a guy and his gal. Music Row’s Robert K. Oermann declared the song “hit bound,” cheering “Hold That Thought” and its “blue-eyed soul groove that doesn’t let up for an instant.” Radio stations have been every bit as enthusiastic in their early praise of the single, with KRST Albuquerque Music Director Kristina Carlyle proclaiming, “The FIRST time I heard ‘Hold That Thought,’ I knew it was a hit and that it was the sexiest, hottest song I had heard in a very long time,” while WRBT Harrisburg Program Director JT Bosch declares, “Chuck is back and better than ever.” WPOC Baltimore/WMZQ Washington D.C. PD Meg Stevens says “Hold That Thought” is “sweet, sexy and summery,” and WGGY Scranton APD Tanya Burko calls it “a song both men and women will be drawn to…men for the lyrics and women for the singer…and the lyrics. A win-win!” WKKT Charlotte’s Ryan Dokke smiles, “This song is so sexy, my ONLY concern with playing it is causing traffic accidents with my female audience!” The steamy music video for “Hold That Thought” equally captures the spirit of the song, with actress Julia Jones (Leah Clearwater in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) portraying Wicks’ love interest in the video. Fans are also getting to see another side of Chuck in the July issue of PEOPLE Country, available nationwide now, as the magazine cast him in the role of “Mystery Date,” in a tip of the hat to the classic board game. Chuck’s easy-going manner and sense of humor made him a perfect fit for the four-page feature, as he told the magazine, “I don’t take myself seriously at all, obviously. You can tell from this photo shoot!” Fans can see a video from the shoot on People.com HERE. The digital single for “Hold That Thought” and the digital download for the music video are both available now, and fans can also pick up the song as the perfect cell phone ringtone or ringback tone. The “Play On Tour” will continue this fall with shows launching September 25 in Portland, Oregon.

Underwood’s critical acclaim continues with high praise descriptions about her vocal prowess and the entire production on the “Play On Tour,” creating a spectacular show for Underwood’s loyal fans all over the U.S. and Canada.

The Ottawa Sun, said “Everything about Underwood’s new show seemed a lot bigger, from the stunning staging that looked like she’d plucked it off a movie set. It seems that just about every song had a visual storyline that Underwood carefully played out.”

“The Play On Tour spared no expense, with hi-def screens, dazzling effects and rapid-fire costume changes, from the black tux to the Oklahoma denim to the satin dress, and everything between,” shared the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette.

Underwood will perform a handful of fairs and festival dates this summer and will resume the “Play On Tour,” hydrated by vitamin water® and Presented AEG Live, this fall launching September 25 in Portland, Oregon with special guests Billy Currington and Sons of Sylvia.

Miranda Lambert Announces Her Next Single

Miranda Lambert announced today that her new single off her Revolution album will be "Only Prettier". This will be Miranda's third single off her recent album.
Lambert says, “To me, ‘Only Prettier,’ is an anthem, it’s my own anthem, and I want girls to have their fists in the air singing ‘Only Prettier.’ It’s antagonistic, in a fun way and I loved the attitude behind it. It kind of fools you, because it’s got this really country, laid-back intro, but then it’s balls to the wall the rest of the way. It’s so much fun!”
"White Liar" and "House That Built Me" both have made a home in the #1 spot on the country charts. Miranda's current single "House That Built Me" is currently residing at its 4th week at #1 making it the longest running #1 song of the year on the Media Base/Aircheck Chart and tied for the longest running by a female artist on the BDS/Billboard chart.
We are looking forward to Miranda's next single, how about you???

Kenny Chesney's No Shoes Radio Debuts New Series Today 'Hangin' With...'

Kenny Chesney's No Shoes Radio is "Hangin With Mishka" today at 3PM EST as the new series debuts on NSR. No Shoes Radio didn't start out to be a place of community for artists across genres, but more a reflection of the sounds in Kenny Chesney's head. A little bit reggae, a handful of rock & roll, a lot of songwriter- and roots-driven music, a dash of old school country, the truly free-form internet radio station is about blurring the lines between genre until they're gone… and in the spirit of that commingling, the man who's had 19 #1s, recorded duets with everyone from Willie Nelson to Uncle Kracker, Mac McAnally to Dave Matthews and become the sound of summer for a whole new century. “I think people respond to music that makes them feel something,” says the man who's written the multiple week #1 “Beer In Mexico,” as well as recorded the free and easy “Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven,” “Out Last Night,” “When The Sun Goes Down” and “Never Wanted Nothin' More.” “It's not about what kind of music, but how does it make me feel… and when you start looking at songs from that perspective, suddenly there's a whole lot more in common than is different.” To expand that idea, Chesney debuts a series called “Hangin' With…,” featuring discussions and unplugged jamming with core air people, guests and whomever is in the moment. It's about capturing music people sitting around, trading songs, stories and insights in the off-hours - and offering that illumination to the many music lovers who would never have cause to be in those kinds of rooms. “There's magic when music people come together,” Chesney says. “What we talk about, what happens when a guitar's passed, what one memory or experience sparks in other people… If you love music, you love life; in a room of people who share that, swapping songs and laughs and opening up to a kindred soul, you're amazed at what comes out." “That's what inspired me these 'Hangin' With…' shows: letting listeners experience some of the amazing musical people I know in a way they wouldn't otherwise. Along the way, Dave Matthews, Steve Miller, all kinds of people are gonna be hanging with us.” In keeping with NSR's sense of discovery, which Chesney has very much wanted to be a harbor for, the first show is “Hangin' with Mishka,” a West Indies-based reggae artist whose work has been heralded by Britian's New Musical Express and has had multiple CDs appear on both Billboard's Reggae and Heatseeker Charts; his most recent. Talk About peaked at #2 on the Reggae chart. “We played then studio version of his 'Shadow in the Shade,' then Mishka did acoustic versions of 'All Jokes Aside,' 'Fallen Rise' before Tambo, Clayton, Mishka, Matthew McConaughey and I jammed on 'Stir It Up.' We talked about life, love, music, songs, memories… it was such a moment.” Fans of the station that has no genre will be able to listen in this Wednesday, June 23 at 3:00 EST. There will be two rebroadcasts on June 25th and 27th at 9:00 EST and 12:00 EST respectively. No Shoes Radio can be found at www.NoShoesRadio.com or through the Kenny Chesney iPhone App.
