CountryMusicRocks Wishes You A Safe & Happy New Year!

Love And Theft Close Out 2010 With Their Final Show As A Trio

Love and Theft will close out 2010 and perform their final show as a trio this evening at The Eagles Nest in Chesapeake,Virgina.  Brian Bandas recently announced that he was parting ways with the group to pursue other interests.  Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson still plan to go on as a duo and have absolutely no hard feelings.

“He's like our brother, so when he told us the news, I just handled it like I would handle my brother,” Liles told AOL's earlier this month. “Friendship comes first. We’re very passionate about music, but if he feels like he needs to go do something else then that’s what his heart is telling him to do. We can't really argue with that because at the end of the day, we all have to follow our own path.”

Best of luck to Brian on his future endeavors and we are excited to see what the future holds for Stephen & Eric as a duo.

Alan Jackson Thanks Zac Brown & Gives Him A Classic Cadillac

Alan Jackson made a guest appearance during Zac Brown Band's concert last night at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.  Jackson surprised the audience and came out to perform As She's Walking Away alongside the Zac Brown Band.

The audience wasn't the only ones to receive a surprise during the evening, prior to the concert, Alan Jackson surprised Zac Brown with a white convertible classic 1966 Cadillac El Dorado as a "thank you" for asking him to collaborate on hit song "As She's Walking Away".

"He was nice to include me on that," Jackson told USA TODAY's Brian Mansfield about Brown, a fellow Georgian. "He's a pretty good fellow, and I just wanted to do something for him."  Brown says he noticed the car and thought, "That's Alan's car. It's gotta be. That's bada**. Then Alan said, 'That's your car.' Man, that's unbelievable – it's unreal."

This afternoon Zac Brown Band's Twitter posted a picture of the car.  Looks like a thing of beauty!!

Neal McCoy To Be The "Wedding Singer" At The Shelton/Lambert Wedding This Spring

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are set to wed this spring.  An official date has not been announced yet, but their wedding singer has and it's Neal McCoy!

"I don't get to see other artists much except at festivals or fairs," Neal tells Country Weekly. "But Blake is a good friend of mine and we played a show together in Oregon this year. Blake reminds me of myself, he's a little goofy -- he's a lot goof -- actually, and he's really funny. He and Miranda pulled up chairs to the side of the stage in Oregon, and I guess they were kind of blown away by the spontaneity and goofiness of my show, so they asked me to play their wedding reception. They wanted to pay me, and I told them, of course you don't have to pay me, that'll be an honor to play it, and I'm sure it will be really fun and a who's-who kind of thing with all the people attending."

Sounds like Blake & Miranda's wedding plans are coming along very nicely.
