Ash Bowers Wants To Give Your "Homegrown Hero" $5,000

Stoney Creek Records, along with Ash Bowers, present a “Homegrown Hero” contest to recognize and reward a local hero who has significantly impacted a community. The online contest will start May 30 and will end on July 1 on Facebook.com/AshBowers.

The contest was inspired by the lyrics found in Bower’s new single, “I Still Believe In That,” (
Our heroes and our idols were homegrown/ Didn't find them on no TV show/
They were our teachers and our preachers/ Our soldier’s, moms and dads / I still believe in that.) To enter, fans will need to nominate their local hero by submitting a short essay (150 words or less) explaining what makes them a homegrown hero. They can do this on Ash Bower's Facebook page. The prize winning-hero will receive a $5,000 cash prize. *

“I Still Believe In That” is quickly becoming a recognizable anthem that reminds all of us about American values.  Just in time for CMA Festival and for a limited time only, Stoney Creek Records will offer country music fans a
