For the all-female band The Lunabelles, all the world’s indeed a stage. The band is using their cellular devices to chat with fans and radio while driving across the country promoting their music. They’ve been using an app called Tango to video chat and recently sang the chorus of their debut single, “A Place To Shine,” for a radio program director.
The Lunabelles are an all-female band consisting of sisters Olivia (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Dominique (piano, mandolin, vocals), and Gabby Arciero (drums, percussion, vocals) – and Alex Kline (lead guitar, banjitar, dobro, mandolin, peddle steel).
Last week, The Lunabelles embarked on their first CMA Music Festival in Nashville with a jam-packed schedule. The band kicked off their week in Music City with the Billboard Summit followed the next day by a ride in the Seventh Annual CMA Music Festival Kick-Off Parade. While temperatures were well above average, the band performed three live shows outside on various stages and signed for fans in three different booths at the Nashville Convention Center.
“We couldn't have been more excited to be part of CMA Music Festival this year,” exclaimed Olivia Arciero. “So many great things have blossomed for us in 2011 on our musical journey and this opportunity to play and connect with fans for CMA Music Festival was spectacular!”
In between all their CMA Music Festival happenings the band headed to Green Bay, WI on Saturday for a special performance outside of superstar Kenny Chesney’s “Goin’ Coastal” Tour Stop at Lambeau Field.
“When we got to Green Bay we were all surprised how we just went from 103 degrees to the mid 50's! Burrr,” shared Olivia Arciero. “Once we got on stage though, we warmed up really quickly with the tailgating crowd. It's like being at a big party and it's so much fun to finish up a show and feel like you get to go hang out with a bunch of your friends afterwards. We certainly found a place to shine on an overcast, brisk day in Green Bay.”
